Q: do i need experience to paddle board?
Most of our customers are first timers! Paddle boarding is much easier than it looks, but you must know how to swim and be capable enough to get to a standing position from your hands to your knees.. if you want you can sit down or kneel rather than standing up on the board.
Q: CAN KIDS RENT A STAND UP PADDLE BOARD?
Our paddle boards are great for everyone of all ages. However, if a child is under 12 they have to be accompanied by a parent when they’re using a paddle board.
Q: DO I NEED TO WEAR A LIFE JACKET WHILE PADDLE BOARDING?
We encourage all paddlers that are not strong swimmers to wear their life jackets to be safe. You may use your own life jacket or use one provided with your rental.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I BRING WHILE PADDLE BOARDING?
We don’t recommend taking too much more with you due to the design of the paddle board. We do however, recommend applying sunscreen before getting on the water, wearing a hat to help see clearly while on the water and covering up to prevent overexposure to the sun.
Paddle boarding provides a lot of opportunities for amazing pictures while on the water. We sell floating phone cases with lanyards and dry bags at our shop to keep your cameras, smartphones and other personal items protected.
Q: CAN MY CHILD RENT A PADDLE BOARD?
Minors 16 and older may paddle without a parent on the water with them, but are required to have their parent sign our rental waiver before getting on the water.
Q: WILL I FALL OFF OF MY PADDLE BOARD?
While we cannot guarantee you won’t fall off your board, it’s best to be prepared to fall in. Leave behind anything you don’t want to get wet. If you fall off your board, do not linger in the water. It is very easy to get back on the SUP boards from the water.
Q: Can I extend or exchange any of my rentals?
As long as our rental inventory allows, yes! We’ll charge or refund you the difference and. make the arrangements
Q: ARE YOU ALLOWED TO WEAR WATER SHOES ON THE SUP?
We do not permit water shoes as they make the boards quite dirty and can damage the padding. If you lose or damage any equipment, you will be held financially responsible.
Q: ARE ALL RENTAL DELIVERIES FREE?
We offer FREE rental deliveries to Roscommon, Higgins Lake and Lake St. Helen. If you are outside of our delivery area, give us a call to make arrangements!
Q: CAN WE PICK UP OUR RENTALS OR DO YOU ONLY DO RENTAL DELIVERIES TO HOMES?
We primarily deliver rental kayaks to waterfront homes/ AirBNBs /and VRBO vacation homes in the Roscommon area. However, If you have truck, trailer, flatbed trailer or another safe means of transportation you can pick up a rental to take with you. However, pick up arrangements must be made by calling 989-275-5810. Rentals are not guaranteed unless a reservation has been made.
